Eh... il Win... buono quello! Non mi ha nemmeno riconosciuto la scheda TV... con il driver originale della scheda mi da' errore e non installa una cippa...

Poi tra le altre cose ho provato DeVeDe con Xubuntu per creare DVD video da un file avi/mpg... fantastico! Un unico passaggio senza tante complicazioni; avevo provato a farlo su Win, ma (a parte che ci volevano programmi commerciali ) si dovevano settare bitrate e ca**i vari... creare prima il mpeg2, poi fare l'authoring...

Poi pure il collegamento wireless (sullo stesso PC e con la medesima scheda WiFi che uso con Xubuntu) con Win ogni tanto si perde e all'accensione del PC ci mette un'eternita' prima di stabilizzare il collegamento WiFi; invece Xubuntu senza incertezze stabilizza il collegamento e non si schioda...

Ho scoperto il mistero...

exit 0 va scritto dopo i comandi...

Cmq ora funzia tutto... anche se penso di aver incasinato un po' i vari file /etc/modules, /etc/modprobe.d/options, /etc/modprobe.d/aliases perche' _putroppo_ ho dovuto prendere comandi un po' qui un po' li' dai vari forum, blog ecc....

Devi cambiare i permessi dello script, evidentemente ti servono i permessi da root che quando cerca di caricare il modulo non ha...
Il comando per cambiare i permessi è chmod, vedi un pò per quale utente ti serve e per cosa ti serve, googlando un pò trovi come usarlo...

Si' george... scusate avrei dovuto scrivere i numeri (ad uso di chi dovesse fare una ricerca su google). Allora il numero della card per Lifeview FlyDVB-T Hybrid (interna PCI) è 94 e il tuner e' 54.

Ho provato a modificare come dici tu george il file rc.local cosi'...

Solo che non va... devo sempre dare il comando manualmente e solo allora il dvb-t funziona... io non e' ci capisco granche' ma mi pare di leggere dall'intestazione del file che bisogna "change the execution bits" per abilitare lo script... ho provato pure a rimuovere il cancelletto all'inizio dello script... ma niente... bho???

Insomma devo automatizzare il comando "modprobe saa7134_dvb" come fare? Help me please...

nel caso puoi (per esempio) aggiungere il comando in /etc/rc.local

Allora... grazie a chi mi ha risposto...

La scheda pare che funziona seguendo le istruzioni del wiki... almeno con TVtime (non riuscivo a vedere nulla perche' probabilmente mancava i2c_scan=1 quando specificavo il tipo di scheda e il numero del tuner...

Pero' perche' funzioni la TV digitale con Kaffeine e' necessario dare il seguente comando:

sudo modprobe saa7134_dvb

Domanda: come faccio a passare questo comando in modo che venga caricato all'inizio? Suppongo che i linuxiani del forum aspranno rispodermi in un attmo

Ho provato sia aggiungendo le istruzioni in /etc/modprobe.conf, sia aggiungendo un file con le stesse istruzioni nella cartella /etc/modprobe.d (come ho trovato da qualche parte...) ma non funziona... devo dare manualmente il comando sudo modprobe saa7134_dvb

Come ho scritto tempo fa su un altro post ho installato Xubuntu (feisty)... tutto Ok (o quasi.... qualche impiccio poi risolto con l'aiuto online...).

Ho deciso di installare una scheda TV e ho comprato la Lifeview FlyDVB-T Hybrid (interna PCI) per tentare di trasformare il PC in un mediacenter con MythTV

Ho seguito le istruzioni qui: http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/SchedeTvHowto

Si tratta di modificare i seguenti files:

/etc/modules
/etc/modprobe.d/options
/etc/modprobe.d/aliases

come da istruzioni e come ultimo passo nel file options aggiungere la seguente riga:

options saa7134 card=[numero della vostra scheda] tuner=[numero del tuner].

Orbene il numero della scheda e' 94 (nella lista il mio modello ha quel numero), ma il numero del tuner sembra introvabile. Ho provato qualche numero, ma nisba... il tvtime parte, ho la schermata blu "television", ma c'e' la scritta "No signal" (la scheda dopvrebbe essere stata riconosciuta anche perche' il dmesg mi da' il nome della scheda - che prima era denominata "generic", inoltre e' presente il modulo saa7134.ko) e i canali non si sintonizzano ne' con l'antennina incorporata della scheda, ne' con quella "aerial" centralizzata di casa.

Allora ho rimesso tutto come prima della modifica "schedeHowto" e ho provato questo script che ho trovato in un forum

per provare tutti i numeri di tuner possibili... ma niente, non va: ottengo sempre la schermata di tvtime che la scheda sembra riconosciuta, ma la sintonizzazione non va. In pratica lo script carica e scarica il modulo (credo) con un numero diverso di tuner ogni volta e prova tvtime per verificarne la funzionalita'. Ho provato a sintonizzare per tutte le volte che il tvtime viene eseguito dallo script senza successo. Per alcuni tuner il conteggio dei canali va avanti ma senza sintonizzazione, mentre per altri tutto e' immobile...

Ho girato google e i vari forum i lungo e in largo... ma senza successo. Di solito riesco (pur con conoscenze limitatissime di linux e in generale di computer) a trovare le soluzioni, ma stavolta e' davvero frustrante...

L'unica cosa che forse potrebbe essere e' il passaggio spiegato nel wikiHowto dove si dice di cercare nel file aliases la riga contenente i2c, cancellarla e sostituirla con "alias char-major-89 i2c-dev" (dopo aver cabmiato la riga ottengo un errore quando il modulo viene caricato... forse il wiki ha un'istruzione errata?)

Qualcuno ha avuto espierenze di utilizzo di schede del genere?

Forse che a Villa Scorciosa non c'e' il segnale DVB? Ma almeno quello analogico...

Purtroppo non posso verificare nemmeno il segnale con il WindowsXP perche' si rifiuta di installare il driver della scheda...(e non so perche'...)
